14 Airport athletes declare intent to play at the college level

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Eleven Airport High School athletes have declared their intent to play their sports at the collegiate level.

 

Six Airport athletes who participated in a February signing ceremony and their commitments include:

 

Katie Clayton: Coker University, volleyball 

Ellie Fisher: Columbia College, cross country/track

Avery Ingram: Newberry College, softball 

Riley Koellner: Columbia College, volleyball

Emma Maynor: USC-Salkahatchie, softball 

Macie McCracken: Columbia College, softball

 

Eight athletes who participated in May signing ceremonies and their commitments are:

 

Bryant Cherry: Football, Erskine College

Brice Gillette: Baseball, USC Union

Hunter Epps: Baseball, USC Union

Alyssa Ceacal: Wrestling, Doane University

Zoey Christian, Bowling, Tennessee Wesleyan

Ja’sia Booth: Basketball, North Greenville University

Angel Mayes: Basketball, Denmark Technical College

Layla Jackson: Soccer, University of South Carolina-Beaufort

 

Coaches, teammates, fellow students, family members, and faculty and staff attended the events, which were held in Airport’s arena.
