Students can now access free Tutor.com services through SC Discus.

Tutor.com offers students access to tutors to help with specific questions. This is not a general tutoring session; instead, the chat lasts as long as needed to guide the student to understanding. Tutors do not simply give the student the answer.

Subjects covered through Tutor.com include all core subject areas, computer literacy, ESOL, study skills, parent coaching, and lots more.

Spanish-speaking tutors are available in all core subject areas.

Students are able to connect to SC Discus without a login if signing in from somewhere in the state of South Carolina; however, if they do need the username and password, students should contact their librarians, Ms. Cook or Ms. Jorgenson, in the Media Center.

Creating a Tutor.com account is not required, but students who are 14 or older can create a free account to access additional services including help with ACT/SAT/AP prep as well as math and essay reviews. For example, students can upload a paper to receive a substantive review of their writing and areas of strength and weakness.
