Airport students selected to Boys and Girls State

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Several Lexington Two high school students have been selected to the prestigious 2020 Palmetto Boys and Girls State programs.  


Both weeklong in-person sessions for the programs, sponsored by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, have been cancelled for summer 2020 due to COVID-19, but students will be given other recognitions. Participants have completed their junior year of high school and are selected based on leadership, scholarship, character and service, among other criteria. 


Those selected from Lexington Two high schools are:


American Legion Auxiliary Girls State

Airport: Isha Bojang, Haiden Helms, Kaelyn Singleton (alternate)

Brookland-Cayce:  Cheyanne Chambers, Gracin Riddle

 

Palmetto Boys State

Airport: Benjamin Bledsoe, Brycen Redmond

Brookland-Cayce: Brady Branham, Joseph Buchmaier, Sanders Castles, Matt Edwards, James Hook, Brycen Johnson, Gavin Taylor
