WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Airport High School’s Army JROTC drill team brought home two 1st Place Overall finishes in October competitions.
The award-winning Golden Talon team earned the top spot overall at a drill competition Oct. 26 at Blythewood High School. Other finishes at the event included:
1st Place: Individual Exhibition with Arms
1st Place: Armed Knock-out
1st Place: Unarmed Knock-out
3rd Place: Duel Exhibition with Arms
The Airport team also took 1st Place Overall at the Oct. 5 Greater Midlands Area Drill Meet. Other finishes at this competition included:
1st Place: Squad Regulation w/o Arms
1st Place: Platoon Regulation w/Arms
1st Place: Platoon Regulation w/o Arms
1st Place: Solo Exhibition w/Arms
1st Place: Duet Exhibition w/Arms
