The the 2026 Educator Hall of Fame & Distinguished Alumni Gala, presented by the Airport High School Education Foundation, is set for Tuesday, April 28. HAPPENING THURSDAY, APRIL 16: Lex2 parents/guardians, grandparents, volunteers and community organizations and residents: The South Carolina Department of Education Office of Student and Community Engagement is offering a FREE community-focused training on Mentorship and Literacy Tutoring. Participants will learn simple literacy tutoring strategies and leave with tools they can use in and out of schools to help others learn to read (literacy) and to guide others in a positive life direction (mentoring). The event is 9 am-12 pm at the Lexington Two Innovation Center, 509 Bulldog Blvd., Cayce. Click this link to register for the free event.
